The Center for Applied Rationality (CFAR)

Between 2011 and 2012, I helped form the Center for Applied Rationality (CFAR) in Berkeley, Califnornia, which is now a registered non-profit organization being run full-time by Julia Galef, Anna Salamon, and Michael Smith. CFAR runs workshops on rational decision-making skills, as informed by decades of cognitive science research in the line of Kahnemann and Tversky, and of course, data collected from previous workshops. Check it out!

Being a non-profit, CFAR needs donors. Although many of the people involved are volunteers (such as myself), the community really depends heavily on the full-time work of a small number people for coordination.

So please, if you or someone you know might like to help an organization whose goal is to spread rationality as an art, science, and culture… please help! Donating online is extremely easy, and every little bit counts 🙂
